MORPh Mentorship Programme

MORPh Mentorship Programme
Welcome to the training programme designed exclusively by MORPh and Micropharm for Trainee Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians working in Primary Care. You can view each of the upcoming sessions below and booking is now open for these.

MORPh Mentorship Programme Overview

MORPh Training has developed a Primary Care Mentorship Programme designed specifically to help:

  • Community pharmacists and technicians, hospital pharmacists and technicians and recently qualified pharmacists and technicians transition into a Primary Care setting
  • More experienced pharmacists to developing their roles in practices, ICBs, PCNs, and Health Boards
  • Experienced pharmacists wishing to move to advanced practice or a supervisory role

Programme Objectives

MORPh’s Mentoring Programme overall objectives are:

  • To support the pharmacy professions in primary care to develop effectively competently, confidently and comfortably.
  • To progress mentees towards becoming confident to make the move into Primary Care
  • To develop competence and confidence in order to be comfortable in their role and their clinical and leadership decisions
  • To provide transparent and honest support for developing their careers in whichever direction that the mentee is both qualified and experienced to achieve.
  • To develop ‘leadership behaviours’ at all levels of primary care pharmacy

Each participant (Mentee) will be able to choose a pharmacist (Mentor) currently working within Primary Care, from a list relevant to the level they’re currently working at/working towards, to provide a deeper understanding and insight into developing their role.

There will be three levels to the programme to reflect the different levels/skills and experiences of the mentor and mentee.
